Welcome to the Jungle is an upcoming Hindi language action adventure comedy film directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala under the banner of Jio Studios. It is the standalone sequel to Welcome (2007) and Welcome Back (2015), and the third installment in the Welcome series. It stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez and Paresh Rawal in lead roles.

Welcome to the Jungle is scheduled for theatrical release on 20 December 2024.

Development

On 4 September 2023, producer Firoz Nadiadwala announced that he would be working on Welcome 3.[1][2] In December 2022, Firoz Nadiadwala reveals the 3rd instalment of 'Welcome' will titled Welcome To The Jungle.[3][4] In July 2023, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi and Paresh Rawal were confirmed in the cast of 'Welcome 3'.[5] Producer Firoz Nadiadwala asked Ahmed Khan to direct Welcome to the Jungle as a director in August 2023.[6][7] On his 56th birthday Akshay Kumar, officially announced Welcome to the Jungle on their social media accounts, revealing the cast of the film and release date of 20 December 2024 with an announcement teaser.[8] Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala under the banner of Jio Studios. The title was originally slated to be Welcome to the Jungle.[9]

Casting

Akshay Kumar was chosen to play the lead, who reprised their role from the previous film. In February 2023, it was later reported that Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi were also in talks for the lead roles.[10] In September 2023, makers announced Welcome to the Jungle also starring Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta.[11][12]

Filming

Principal photography commenced on 13 December 2023 with a muhuratam puja held in Mumbai. The first schedule was held the same location.[13][14][15]

Release

The film is scheduled to be theatrically released on 20 December 2024.[16][17]

Marketing

The first look of the poster of the film was launched in September 2023. On 9 September 2023, Akshay Kumar released the first look poster of Welcome to the Jungle on Instagram, featuring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal as male leads and Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta as female leads.[18]
