The UK Young Academy is a national interdisciplinary society of young scientists, aiming to provide a forum leading young scientists in the United Kingdom.

The Royal Society launched the academy in June 2022 and solicited applications for membership.[2] 67 members were announced in January 2023.[3][4]

The UK Young Academy is affiliated with seven senior UK and Ireland-based academies:[5]

The academy aims to engage people at an early stage in their careers across the United Kingdom and Ireland. While the UK Young Academy will operate independently, it will be overseen by a Governance Committee and will continue to work closely with the above partner academies on relevant work programmes when appropriate.

The UK Young Academy has an Executive Group with seven members, announced in 2023:[8]
