Sangtab (Persian: سنگتاب, also Romanized as Sangtāb and Sang Tāb)[3] is a village in Talarpey Rural District of Talarpey District, Simorgh County, Mazandaran province, Iran, serving as capital of both the district[4] and the rural district.[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 786 in 215 households, when it was in the former Kiakola District of Qaem Shahr County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 732 people in 230 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 772 people in 275 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Simorgh County.[4] It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
