Mdona Hyera, formerly called the Sermata or Sematang Islands, is a small group of islands within the Southwest Maluku Regency, part of Maluku (province) in Indonesia. The group is located south of the Damer Islands, east of the Letti Islands and west of the Babar Islands.

They form the Mdona Hyera District (Kecamatan Mdona Hyera) within the regency, and consist of the main island of Pulau Sermatang (210 km2 in area) and a smaller island to the west - Pulau Luang (22 km2 in area). Sermatang Island had 3,640 inhabitants in mid 2021[1] resident in nine villages - Elo, Rumkisar, Lelang, Romdara, Mahaleta, Rotnama, Batugajah, Pupliora and Regoha. Luang Island consisted of two main parts, together with a number of islets of the coast; the main sections are Luang Timur (15 km2) with 1,163 inhabitants, and Luang Barat (7 km2) with 831 inhabitants in 2021.
