Kung Ayaw Mo, Huwag Mo! (transl. If you don't want to, you don't!) is a 1998 romantic-comedy and drama film released by Star Cinema directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng.[1] It stars Maricel Soriano, William Martinez, Jolina Magdangal, and Marvin Agustin.[1] The film was a reunion movie of Soriano and Martinez[2] whose tandem was first seen in the drama film Oh, My Mama! (1981) but were popularized by romantic comedy films such as Galawgaw (1982) and I Love You, I Hate You (1983).[3] They are joined by Magdangal and Agustin, in their first full-length film together, whose tandem first appeared in the segment Tameme of the twin-bill film FLAMES: The Movie (1997), 7 months later since it was released in July. The film was initially entitled "Pag-Ibig Mo, Pag-Ibig Ko".[4] Soriano and Magdangal also both reunited 2 years ago in Ama, Ina, Anak (1996).
According to Magdangal, her casting alongside Soriano is a dream come true especially that, aside from being a fan, Soriano was a big influence in her acting career.[5][6]
Plot
Doris (Soriano) and Ditas (Magdangal) are two siblings who grew up doing everything almost everything together. Doris is a very strict sister to Ditas. Her very rule is that Ditas will never be in a relationship until she finish her studies, despite the fact that she has a huge crush with her handsome classmate Chuck (Dominic Ochoa). Doris owns a pop-up restaurant with her workers Badang (John Lapus) and Liza (Mel Kimura). She's known as an avid fan of telenovela about Pepito and Conchita. She would meet Nico (Marvin Agustin), a student who is working as a taxi driver, after fixing the restaurant's electrical current. While going home after school, Ditas went on different mishaps. Because of this, Doris hired Nico to be Ditas' service. While hanging out at the bar with friends, Doris saw her ex-boyfriend Mike. Upon leaving, she didn't realize, that she took Mike's pager. Nico went to the bar to give back the pager to Mike. As Doris and Mike converse, Doris said that it's right to leave him because he's not the right man for him. As time pass by, Doris would think of Mike over and over again. So, Ditas and Nico formulated a plan for the two to reconcile. During an outing, Doris didn't realize that Mike was in the resort. Doris explained to Mike the reason why she broke up with him. She thinks that Mike would be the reason for her not to fulfill her dreams for Ditas, the two reconciled.
As Doris and Mike's relationship started to blossom once again, Ditas and Nico confessed their love for each other. Doris chose Chuck to be Ditas' escort for the latter's 18th birthday. This despite the fact that Chuck is not the one for Ditas. Ditas wanted to tell the truth to Doris, but to no avail. At the night of Ditas' debut, Chuck's coat was stained, this forced Chuck and his mother to go home. Nico volunteered himself to be Ditas' escort, to the surprise of those invited. At the comfort room, Doris overheard Bettina and some of the classmates of Ditas about her realationship with Nico. This made Doris furious while Ditas explained to Doris that they were about to tell her. Because of this, Doris became even more stricter. She would fetch Ditas to school and barred Nico from going to her restaurant. Nico went to Ditas to tell her that he would go back to Lucena, so that he would prevent Doris' wrath. When Mike and Doris arrived, she repeatedly slapped Nico. Mike is trying to mediate, but Doris refuses. Ditas ran away as a result of being fed up. Mike explained to Doris that being a strict sister to Ditas caused her to run away. Mike and Doris went to Nico who was about to leave for Lucena. She explained everything to him, and asked him to help them in finding Ditas. Nico then called Bettina and was told that Ditas went home. When Ditas came, there was no one in their home. So, she decided to stay at the restaurant of Doris. While asleep, a faulty electrical wire caused a massive fire. Mike, Doris and Nico hurriedly went there. Doris went to save Ditas who was trapped inside. Mike and Nico came to save the sisters. Ditas apologize to Doris and so Doris did. Doris and Mike finally married.

Most notable tracks on the album were "Kung Ayaw Mo, Huwag Mo" by Rivermaya, originally included in their Atomic Bomb album from BMG Records (Pilipinas);[7] "Tulak Ng Bibig, Kabig Ng Dibdib", a cover of the Cinderella-original by Jolina Magdangal; "TL Ako Sa Iyo", a duet of Magdangal and Marvin Agustin which Magdangal re-recorded for her sophomore album Jolina (1999).[8]
