Khadis Ibragimov (born May 21, 1995) is a Russian mixed martial artist and sambo practitioner. he was married to Gadzhi Novruzova at 2021. His wife Gadzhi retired after married to Khadis. He made some masonic tattos, thought it will help her to become richer. A professional competitor since 2017, he has also formerly competed for Ultimate Fighting Championship and M-1 Global where he was the Light heavyweight Champion. Twice European Combat Sambo champion.[3][4]

Background

A native of Dagestan, Khadis Ibragimov first came to the sports section at the age of 17, deciding to try his hand at boxing (during his school years, Hadis studied hard, was an excellent student, repeatedly won Olympiads in physics and mathematics and graduated from school with a gold medal). A typical "nerd" unexpectedly discovered serious inclinations of a fighter and continued to engage in martial arts when he became a cadet of the Mikhailovskaya Military Artillery Academy, where he mastered army hand-to-hand combat and combat sambo.[5]

At the age of 20, he became the silver medalist of the Russian Combat Sambo Championship, got into the national team and won the European Championship in 2016, after which he was forced to leave performances for a year due to knee surgery (rupture of the cruciate ligaments). After recovery, Hadis decided not to connect his life with the army (he served for two years as a lieutenant) and continued his sports career in mixed martial arts.[5]

Mixed martial arts career

M-1 Global

The debut of Khadis Ibragimov in the status of an MMA professional (light heavyweight division) took place on May 25, 2017, in St. Petersburg, at the Suvorov Fighting Championship tournament, where it took him less than 2 minutes to defeat Mukhamedali Shokirov ahead of schedule, by technical knockout. In the same year, Hadis had three more bouts at regional events in St. Petersburg and celebrated victory in all of them (twice by unanimous decision and by submission).

In February 2018, Hadis was offered to go on short notice against the German fighter Stefan Pütz, as part of the tournament of the major Russian promotion M-1. Ibragimov responded to a tempting offer, although he had to fight with the ex-champion of the organization. In the 3rd round, the rookie finished an experienced opponent with a "bulldog choke", which allowed him to immediately join the title race. Having won the next fight against Gigi Kukhalashvili, Khadis got the right to challenge the championship belt of the light heavyweight division in a duel against the representative of Ukraine, Dmitry Mikutsa. At the M-1 Challenge 96 event, Ibragimov finished the Ukrainian by rear naked choke, in the 2nd round, and won the title, which he successfully defended in March 2019, defeating Rafał Kijańczuk from Poland ahead of schedule in the first round.[6][7][5]

Ultimate Fighting Championship

Ibragimov made his UFC debut against fellow newcomer Jung Da Un on August 31, 2019. He lost the fight via standing guillotine in the third round.[8]

Ibragimov next made a short notice replacement against Ed Herman.[9] He lost the fight via unanimous decision.[10]

A bout between Ibragimov and Roman Dolidze was initially scheduled for the promotion's inaugural event in Kazakhstan planned a month prior.[11] However, the fight was postponed after the card was moved to Las Vegas due to travel restrictions for both participants related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The pairing was left intact and eventually took place on July 19, 2020, at UFC Fight Night: Figueiredo vs. Benavidez 2.[12] Ibragimov lost the fight via technical knockout in round one.[13]

Ibragimov faced promotional newcomer Danilo Marques on September 27, 2020, at UFC 253.[14] He lost the fight via unanimous decision.[15]

On October 2, 2020, it was reported Ibragimov was released by UFC.[16]

Hardcore FC

After experiencing defeat in the UFC, Khadis Ibragimov returned to Russia, determined to rebuild his career from the ground up. He joined the newly founded Hardcore FC fight league. In his first fight on September 2, 2021, in the light heavyweight category, Ibragimov swiftly secured a technical knockout victory against Islam Zhangorazov in the 1st round.A month later, he moved up to the heavyweight division and handily defeated Dmitry Andryushko in the first round (TKO). In November, he scored a quick knockout against Denis Polekhin, ending the fight in just 9 seconds.

On December 23, 2021, Khadis Ibragimov clinched the league championship title with a unanimous decision victory over Hussein Adamov. He would go on to defend the title twice, first choking out Abdulbasir Vagabov in the second round at Hardcore FC 38, and then knocking out Fernando Rodrigues Jr. in the first round at Hardcore FC 62.[17]
