Gatab-e Jonubi Rural District (Persian: دهستان گتاب جنوبي)[3] is in Gatab District of Babol County, Mazandaran province, Iran.

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 14,743 in 3,532 households.[4] There were 14,955 inhabitants in 4,387 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 15,030 in 4,917 households. The largest of its 20 villages was Ahangar Kola, with 3,500 people.[2]
