Folk Radio UK, is an Independent online folk music journal covering folk music, roots, global music, and more. It was established in 2004 by Alex Gallacher.[1] The website features album reviews,[2] news,[3] live reviews[4] and interviews.[5] They are based in Somerset,[6][1] but supported by a team of reviewers and journalists that include Robin Denselow.[7]

Folk Radio also features regular mixes and shows.

A specialist folk music channel was launched on Deezer in 2012 which was curated by Folk Radio UK's editor.[8][9]
