Dr. Kanailal Bhattacharya College, established in 1985,[1] is an undergraduate college in Ramrajatala, Jagacha, (P.O. Santragachi), in Howrah district of West Bengal, India. It offers only courses in arts and commerce. It is affiliated with the University of Calcutta.[2] The college was named after educationist and politician Dr. Kanailal Bhattacharyya.

Departments and courses

The college offers different undergraduate and postgraduate courses and aims at imparting education to the undergraduates of lower- and middle-class people of Santragachi and its adjoining areas.[3]

Arts & Commerce

Arts and Commerce faculty consists of departments of Bengali, English, History, Geography, Political Science, Philosophy, Education, and Commerce.

Accreditation

Dr. Kanailal Bhattacharya College is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).[1] It has been re-accredited and awarded B grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).[4]
