He recorded an 11.24, not enough to qualify for the next round past the heats. His personal best is 10.87, set in 1995. In the 1992 Summer Olympics, he recorded a 22.49 in the 200m. In 1989, Kimba ran 21.67 in the 200 m, a Nigerien national record.[1] He later served as the Nigerien national sprint coach. In 2013, he was killed in a road accident.[2]

While acting as a national sprint coach, he was nicknamed "teacher" by his athletes.[3]
