The Tengawai River (also Te Ana a Wai) flows through south Canterbury, in New Zealand's South Island. It flows east for 35 kilometres (22 mi) before joining the Ōpihi River at Pleasant Point, New Zealand, 20 kilometres (12 mi) north west of Timaru.
