Perfluorohexyloctane, sold under the brand name Miebo is a medication used for the treatment of dry eye disease.[1] It is a semifluorinated alkane.[1]

Perfluorohexyloctane was approved for medical use in the United States in May 2023.[1][2] The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) considers it to be a first-in-class medication.[3]

Medical uses

Perfluorohexyloctane is indicated for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of dry eye disease.[1][4][5]
