Kevin Patrick Egan is an Irish professional wrestling commentator and sports broadcaster. He is signed to WWE, for which he serves the play-by-play commentator on SmackDown. He also works on association football for Fox Sports, Apple TV+, and CNN World Sport.[2]

Background

Egan is from Raheny in north Dublin.[3] His father Liam was an All-Ireland-winning gaelic footballer.[2][4] Kevin was a member of Raheny GAA, but an injury curtailed his career.[2] He studied journalism at Griffith College Dublin.[2]

Egan worked for RTÉ Sport as a runner at the 2004 Summer Olympics.[2][5][6]

Career

Moving to America in 2009,[2][7] Egan has worked for CNN and has been the commentator for Atlanta United home games on Apple TV+.[8][9]

He began working for the WWE in 2021,[10] under the name "Kevin Patrick".[11] He was a commentator on Raw from October 2022,[9] before moving to Smackdown in 2023.[12][13]
